In Keystone, the sky is now even more breathtaking with the Sunkid Wonder Carpet Conveyor
Sunkid is a pioneer developer!
In the middle of the fantastic skiing area of Keystone in Colorado, enthusiasts experience the ultimate thrill of snow tubing. The steep slope, waves and a long run-off area make the experience unsurpassable. Now, a snow tubing lift is available to transport guests to the top of the course The Sunkid wonder carpet conveyor in Keystone has been set up to guarantee guests an optimal level of comfort and to increase the capacity of the Park. The greatest challenge was to overcome the terrain gradient of up to 40% without changing the snow tubing area.
In order to provide accessibility to the Sunkid wonder carpet conveyor, the approach used here was to minimize the gradient of the terrain to the expected 22% by a metal construction. Supported by pillars of up to 8 meters from the ground, the 129-meter long Sunkid conveyor rises up to the sky. The installation of the Sunkid conveyor-cover significantly reduces maintenance and adds safety and security to the visitors thanks to the guardrails and escape stairs located on both sides of the cover. From the very beginning, guests enjoy a spectacular view on the Snowtubing Park and at night, the new Sunkid conveyor-cover gives a magic touch to the ambience with its illumination...
Snowtubing Park has reached the demanded capacity of 2.000 guests per hour. Looking back on this fascinating project, Sunkid is proud of this successful, pioneering approach.
