Innsbruck (AUSTRIA): Mobile Pump Track at the INTERNATIONAL CHILDREN'S GAMES 2016
The "International Children´s Games" is an event that runs within the framework of the IOC (International Olympic Committee). The ICG has developed into one of the largest sporting events for youth since its launch in 1968 with 48 summer and 6 winter games and over 40,000 participating pupils, aged 12 to 15 years. It was Innsbruck's turn only a few weeks ago to be host to around 1,000 more young athletes from around the world.
Apart from the sporting competitions in and around Innsbruck, a "Base" was also constructed in the Exhibition Hall. This was set up as a meeting point for the kids during breaks in the event and was also used as a place where various sporting activities could be tried out free of charge. It wasn't only the athletes and their teams that seized this opportunity, in fact locals and school classes from all over Tyrol took advantage too.
One of the highlights of the sporting activities was undoubtedly the mobile pump track with the final "Pump Battle World Series Time Trail Event" as the pièce de résistance.
