Feldberg established children's and beginners' slope including Moving Carpet
In his review of the season, Julian Probst, Managing Director of Feldbergbahnen GmbH, was optimistic about the future of Germany's highest low mountain ski resort: "Alpine winter sports are still very popular. The region offers optimal conditions that make us confident that we can develop the Feldberg together and make it strong for the future".
With a Sunkid Moving Carpet (length: 76 m) of type N, the Feldbergbahnen have created a great new offer at Seebuck - in the immediate vicinity of two T-bar lifts and a 6-seater chairlift - despite a "mixed" 22/23 season. The addition of two more Sunkid lifts (60 and 34 meters long) at the start of the 23/24 winter season (a report will follow shortly) confirms the success of the chosen direction.
Customer manager Jeanette Larcher summarized the opening of the first Moving Carpet as follows: "Our new conveyor belt offers fun in the snow, especially for children, newcomers to the slopes and tobogganing fans".
An Evolus gallery, which also covers both the reversing station and the drive, ensures a comfortable ascent in both snow and wind. The gallery can be closed at the top and bottom of the conveyor belt using red PVC tarpaulins that match the Feldbergbahnen corporate design. This prevents snow from getting onto the Moving Carpet overnight - and ensures a quick and uncomplicated start to operations at all times.
Four laterally positioned emergency exits can also be easily opened and closed with roller tarpaulins. The special design and rubber compound of the "Blue Eye" endless belt ensures ideal drainage of melt water and safe footing for all passengers.
Another highlight is the innovative Sunkid I-CONTROL electronics including an intuitive HMI touch display. This enables the basic operation of the system, supports the performance of regular checks, provides general information - from operating hours to troubleshooting help - and enables the setting of all functions and parameters.
Fixed family-friendly prices apply at the conveyor belt for five ascents, 2.5-hour, daily or annual tickets. A special ticket office including access control has been set up at the Moving Carpet.
