Bettmeralp (CH): Aletsch Arena opened new ski area.
With the start of the current winter season, the well-known Valais winter sports resort of Bettmeralp has opened the new Blausee ski area. The bottom station of the chairlift, which is now the safest for children in Switzerland, was modeled after a rock crystal and makes access very comfortable and safe right from the start. After the positive experiences with the Sunkid Moving Carpet , which was installed in this ski area (Tanzboden) last year, Bergbahnen Bettmeralp also chose Sunkid as a partner for this project.
Whereas winter sports enthusiasts previously had to negotiate a steep footpath in order to reach the old Ski Lift, comfort is already a priority when accessing the lift from the aerial tramway coming from the valley. Directly from the front door of the Bergkristall, a Sunkid conveyor belt and an escalator take skiers to the Blausee chairlift. The 42-meter Moving Carpet inside the Bergkristall has a gradient of 7 percent and a transport capacity of 2780 persons/hour.
During the transport on the 42-meter conveyor belt inside the Bergkristall, passengers can enjoy the panorama of the Valais mountains through a large glass front. This combination of convenient access and new chairlift is particularly appreciated by families with children. In addition to this target group, this part of the ski area is also used primarily by beginners and ski schools. However, until now only a more than 30 year old ski lift was available to these skiers, but since this winter this is also a thing of the past Now there is a maximum of safety and comfort - also with the help of the Sunkid Moving Carpet.
