Skiing and snowboarding are among the most popular winter sports in the world. What it takes?
A mountain or at least a hill can be found in most areas, but with snow it looks different. In areas where in winter the mountain peaks are not covered by a white sugar coating, the fun on the boards, however, does not fail. Dry slopes allow skiing fun even without snow 365 days a year.
Spain has now also jumped on the bandwagon and in 2019 opened the country's ski slope that can be used all year round. It can be found in La Virgen de la Vega, a town in the province of Teruel, about 300 km east of Madrid.
The 60-meter-long and 15-meter-wide slope is made of the revolutionary material Np30 + and thus offers a great driving experience as if on snow. This project was initiated by the Mesón de la Nieve Association to promote the tourist attraction of the area. The easy accessibility of the resort, which is surrounded by ski resorts and close to the city of Valencia, proves to be very advantageous.
Whether young or old - there is something for everyone, because La Virgen de la Vega offers not only a slope for skiers and snowboarders, but also a tubing track. With a tubular tire you slide down the track and that just as 365 days a year.
Don't worry - skis and snowboards don't have to be carried up the hill, and neither do the tubes. Once again, the Moving Carpet from Sunkid serves as a comfortable transport aid for people and equipment.
The Spanish TV station Aragón TV already reported about the new facility. The guests spoke enthusiastically about the new acquisition in the interview and the beaming faces also spoke for themselves.
