Hafjell is well known to most winter sports fans, as it was here that the slalom and giant slalom competitions were held during the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer. However, with the end of the Winter Games, time has by no means stood still in Hafjell. The winter sports area has continued to develop and is still one of the leading ski destinations in Scandinavia. The area, known as Hafjell Alpine Centre, places a particularly high value on comprehensive care for children. It therefore stands to reason that the operators also place great emphasis on high quality and safety when selecting the lifts. Among other things, they are once again relying on a Moving Carpet from Sunkid.
Last winter, the 99-meter Moving Carpet was installed in Hafjell's Kinderland. This is now the third conveyor belt from Sunkid to be put into operation in this ski area. Unlike the previous two, however, the new Moving Carpet has also been equipped with a gallery. This roofing allows the warming rays of the sun to shine unobstructed into the interior of the gallery, but at the same time offers the children excellent protection against wind and weather. Thus, the little passengers can enjoy the driveway without offering an attack surface to the wind. This has the advantage that the little ones can follow the skiing course in a more relaxed and refreshed manner and thus the desired success is achieved more quickly.
