Wooden Ball Tracks & Motor Skills Course - Gerlos Zillertal Arena (AUT)
At the top station of the Isskogelbahn in Gerlos, two 150-meter Wooden Ball Tracks and an adventure climbing course have recently been awaiting the numerous young guests from all over the world. On their way downhill, the wooden balls overcome a wide variety of obstacles, create unique melodies on the bells and xylophone elements and ensure exciting wooden ball races with friends or siblings.
An investment that has already paid off in the first year.
Not only have new attractions been developed that further expand the mountain's offerings, especially for families with children, but they have also generated positive follow-up effects.
Already in the first weeks after construction, the gastronomy directly at the mountain station benefited from a significant increase in visitors and a much longer dwell time. In addition to the resulting increase in sales, the Wooden Ball Tracks themselves also contribute to refinancing the investment. Each of the thousands of wooden balls sold via vending machines brings in 2 euros for the operators, making the attraction, which is so popular with children, a lucrative source of revenue.
From a marketing point of view, the wooden balls also have a nice side effect. As a branded souvenir, they also bring back fond memories of wonderful summer days in the mountains, thus rekindling the desire to travel.
