Under the motto "You can't have it, you can't have it", Sunkid's first mountain coaster was built in the Philippines this year.
Corona (Covid-19) presented challenges to both the operators of Dahilayan Adventure Park and Sunkid. However, thanks to good cooperation, a strong team and precise planning, the project was successfully completed this year after all.
Despite the difficult time, the Razorback Mountain Coaster puts a smile on the faces of Adventure Park guests, whether they are families or adventurous action junkies.
The excitement stems in part from the fact that the speed can be adjusted. If you're feeling adventurous, you can whiz down the monorail at up to 40 mph. If you prefer a more leisurely ride, you can apply the brakes at any time and enjoy the lush greenery of the Dahilayan mountains to the full during the ride. In addition, during the descent you pass some curves and waves that make the descent even more varied and exciting.
The operators have put a lot of thought into the design of the route and have been able to realize something great. They managed to make you feel as if you were sliding down the mountain through a gorge or on a second level. They achieved this effect by adapting the terrain (by building stone walls) and by successfully integrating the coaster into the jungle.
Fun Fact: The mountain coaster is called Razorback because there were many wild boars in the area where the track is located.
