The highest play paradise - the "cowlest" leisure experience

Sunkid realizes individual play and adventure world made of wood in Kühtai

Place: Kühtai /Year: 2024 / Product: Wood'n'Fun

"I imagine the perfect playground: With slides and something to climb up - similar to a labyrinth - and letters with a climbing wall," is how one girl describes her dream in the latest video from the Kühtai mountain railroads (Austria). The entire newly opened "Kühspielplatz" adventure world, which was individually planned by Sunkid, made from Austrian larch wood and built at 2,334 meters above sea level, includes several attractions from the "Wood'n'Fun" portfolio. With the "COWLEST" highlight: one of the world's largest mother cows with calf that can be walked on and played with. Another record that Kühtai, as the highest winter sports resort in Austria, achieved together with Sunkid after the country's longest covered Moving Carpet was put into operation.

The huge, approximately six and a half meter high play equipment (mother cow with calf) combines state-of-the-art sustainable timber construction architecture in individual customer design, certified playground safety as well as fun and games on several levels. The inside of the cow can be reached and discovered by all children via ladders, poles and rope stairs. Once at the top, "portholes" and roof glazing provide an unforgettable view over the entire vacation region. The yellow slides take you back down again. Or rather: straight back up to the next play equipment.

After all, the wooden lettering "KÜHTAI" rises three meters into the air next to the high alpine cow family and offers a variety of play options (slides, swings, climbing wall and poles) as well as the perfect photo motif including the heraldic animal of the year-round destination against a spectacular mountain backdrop. All accompanying adults can enjoy this view while the children play and romp, with food and drink, summer and winter, at the DreiSeen-Hütte, around which the new play paradise is located. There is also a mini cow play area for the very youngest children who want to stay close to their parents.

"Summer is also becoming increasingly important for our hiking and skiing area. We have created a coherent and sustainable attraction that fits in very well with our high alpine landscape and will delight our young guests in particular," emphasizes Managing Director Philip Haslwanter.

There is also a vending machine at the hut, which provides all game enthusiasts with wooden balls in the Kühtai design for two euros. Because there is no end to the fun on the high alpine meadows! A 30-metre-long single-lane ball track delights young and old with standard Sunkid elements such as a ball slalom, chimes, xylophone, curved track and pillar labyrinth. The second installation is a 40-meter-long double-run Wooden Ball Tracks - with individual "Almwirtschafts" design of all play and interaction elements: Hay rakes and racks, ribbon fences, butter churns, troughs, cheese wheels, ...

Sunkid CEO Emanuel Wohlfarter sums up: "We would like to thank Managing Director Philip Haslwanter and his team at Bergbahnen Kühtai for allowing us to accompany the development of the vacation region into a sustainable year-round destination with our expertise in customized leisure concepts 365 days a year."
