The motorized handrail opens up completely new possibilities for the Moving Carpet in terms of passenger transport
After more than twenty years of continuous development, the Austrian world market leader for Person Conveyor Belts in the outdoor sector has succeeded in taking the next major evolutionary step. As the world's first Moving Carpet, it now has an integrated handrail for outdoor use that is synchronized with the speed of the conveyor belt.
The motorized handrail thus offers passengers the greatest possible comfort, especially for people without strapped-on sports equipment (pedestrians).
As a result, even larger inclines can be negotiated without difficulty.
The integrated handrail not only improves the comfort of familiar conveyor belt applications in the ski area, but also expands possible areas of application off the slopes (parking lot feeder, inner-city connections, summer applications, etc.).
Regardless of whether people are on skis, on foot, or toboggans, tubes or other sports equipment are to be transported - it is this versatility of transport options that makes the Moving Carpet so unique, and with the motorized handrail it is given a further upgrade.
The Moving Carpet with motorized handrail will celebrate its premiere in use in Wanda Harbin (China), where the world's largest indoor ski slope will open in August 2017.
Sunkid recently installed two 150-meter Moving Carpets there with a maximum gradient of 27.5%.
The motorized handrail offers a real, "ready-to-hand" assistance and
- brings a noticeable improvement in comfort, especially for pedestrians
- increases the safety (feeling) of the user
- is used wherever a moving walkway/escalator cannot be used for technical reasons (outdoor)
- enables to overcome larger gradients
The Moving Carpet with handrail opens up completely new areas of application in ski areas and off-piste - the focus is on transporting pedestrians.
At the Interalpin trade fair 2017, visitors can experience the covered Sunkid Moving Carpet with motorized handrail in its full function at booth no. A25.
