The conveyor belt at the heart of the children's adventure world
A children's playground for winter and summer use was built at the Col du Corbier; the Sunkid conveyor belt serves as a central climbing aid for sports equipment of all kinds
The skiing area at the Col du Corbier (FR), closed since 2012, will be a point of attraction for guests and locals alike once more this year, after comprehensive revitalisation measures. However, it will not be reopened as a conventional skiing area, but as a sports and children's adventure world, with a Sunkid conveyor belt 189 metres in length as the central climbing aid for winter athletes – and the many different types of sports equipment typically found in a Fun Park. The conveyor belt can be used by any winter athletes with their snowboards, skis, tubes, toboggans or other sports equipment. Of course, many transport of sports equipment with the conveyor belt will continue in summer as well...
LED strips were worked into the aluminium arcs of the Evolus gallery to keep the terrain around the conveyor belt open for use in the evening hours. This type of lighting not only makes it possible to evenly illuminate the conveyor belt to keep the users safe, but also permits the operator to seamlessly observe what is happening using a camera inside the gallery.
