The Widiversum is a unique story of success that goes far beyond the Hochoetz skiing area. Widi and his friends have become the Ötztal brand ambassadors for families and children and have long been known beyond their original location at the Hochoetz Top Station. Three new themed trails were added to the family paradise in the summer of 2019, turning it into one of the largest worlds of experience for children in the Alps.

The Hochoetz mountain railways wanted to build a new reservoir and implement various infrastructure measures in 2014. Creation of a world of experience around the new reservoir was part of the concept as well. In the five years since the Hochoetz mountain railways and Sunkid set out their first plans, the Hochoetz family skiing area, once almost exclusively a winter sports destination, has turned into a year-round destination and the driving engine for the entire region. With this year's expansion, the Widiversum and its themed trails has likely become one of the largest continuous nature-related experience worlds in Europe.

It's a success that pays off for the mountain railways and the entire region alike.

Miner's luck - The exciting world of miners

The hero of this trail is miner Kuno. Follow in his footsteps and learn all there is to know about qualified miners and mining. What is hiding in the tunnels and caves? Where do the crystals come from? How does a rope pull work? Discover all of this and more on the way.

With all senses - The adventure trail for sharp senses

You need to be just as agile and alert as a squirrel on this trail. Challenge your skills and your senses. How fast can you run on a treadmill? What do animal furs and bird feathers feel like? Which animal sounds can you imitate? Learn all of this and more on the trail.

High up - The trail for mountaineers

Look at the world like a daw: from above. How high can you climb in this crystal? How many mountain peaks can you count from the vantage platform? Discover all of this and more on the way, and keep smiling, since WIDI is waiting to take a picture with you at the end.
